What is Aerial Yoga?

Aerial Yoga is a type of yoga which uses a hammock or yoga swing suspended from the ceiling allowing students to perform postures that they may not ordinarily be able to attempt on the yoga mat. With your body weight being partially or fully supported by the hammock, students are able to expand their flexibility allowing for you to explore new and traditional asanas.

What are the benefits of Aerial Yoga?
Aerial Yoga has all the benefits of a traditional yoga class. It is a total body workout, due to the nature of aerial yoga movements, almost all the body parts are working to move and stretch. Muscles are toned and redefined, and joints are regenerated and strengthened due to these movements.

Aerial Yin & Yoga Nidra

Discover total bliss with Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. In this 75 minute Aerial class you will Restore and Renew your mind, body, and spirit as you tune into the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Yin Yoga is a more meditative approach with a physical focus that is much deeper than most yoga practices. Here the practitioner is accessing the deeper connective tissues and fascia. Many of the long- held postures focus on areas that encompass the hips, legs , and spine. We will give options for students who want to use the hammock as well as would prefer to stay on their mat. We will end the practice with Yoga Nidra; a full body relaxation that will unwind the nervous system.
