“Tula” is a Sanskrit word meaning balance. At Tula Yoga, our mission is to create an environment where you can experience balance and relaxation in the midst of your busy life. Tula Yoga is a total health and wellness studio offering Yoga, Hot Yoga, Barre, Aerial Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, and Reiki. We offer 40 + weekly classes, various monthly workshops, teacher training’s, and continuing education for Yoga teachers. We welcome people of all ages, sizes, shapes, and ability. Our goal at Tula Yoga is to provide an exceptional experience in a supportive and fun atmosphere that promotes growth and community for our students.
The yoga classes at Tula are accessible to everyone and will bring union to mind, body and soul. We offer various styles of Yoga with each experienced instructor bringing their own unique style and personality into their class. Yoga means Union is NOT a competition or about being flexible. We encourage students to go at their own pace and to feel comfortable in class while moving in their own unique way. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced Yogi, there is a class for you.
Tula Yoga is uses an infrared heating system for its heated yoga classes. Unlike traditional heating, there is no noise, no dust or germs circulating, and no odor, making for a more pleasant experience. Radiant heat penetrates the deepest layers of tissue, where it stimulates the body to release toxins, fat and other impurities through sweating; analysis has found that sweat resulting from infrared heat contained 20 percent toxins, compared to three percent from traditional heat. This safe, internal heating of the body can also stimulate immune function, increase blood flow, improve skin tone, texture and elasticity, ease joint and muscle pain, and break up cellulite deposits. Infrared heating is safe, offers deeper health benefits and will maximize the results of your hot yoga practice.
The Barre & Pilates fitness classes offered at Tula are designed to sculpt and tone the entire body. All of the classes are created to burn calories, increase core strength, flexibility, posture, and balance. We will incorporate weights, resistance bands, and other props to sculpt your arms, abs, and create long lean muscles. You will leave feeling longer, stronger, and invigorated after each class. Exercises can be modified whether you’re a beginner, pregnant or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you’re advanced and looking for more of a challenge.
